The last three nominees for the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year award has been announced. Mohamed Salah joins the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric in the final list.
Mohamed Salah had a sensational season for Liverpool last season scoring 44 goals in all competition.
He also led The Reds to the champions league final, where they lost to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Real Madrid.
Cristiano Ronaldo won the 2017/18 UEFA champions league highest goal scorer with 15 goals, leading Madrid to their 3rd consecutive champions league trophy.
Luka Modric on the other hand, was a key member of the Madrid team. Detecting play for Madrid in midfield along side Toni Kroos and Casemiro.
However, Salah is the first English Premier League player to make the last three since its inauguration in 2011. He is also the first African to make the final selection.
