Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi agrees terms with Middlesbrough

Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel has agreed personal terms with Middlesbrough ahead of his propose move to the Championship side.

Mikel is set to undergo his medicals with Tony Pulis side and will sign a short term contract once the medical is completed.

The former Chelsea midfielder left England for Chinese club Tianjin TEDA in 2017, but is now eager to return to England where his wife and children live.

The 31-year-old spent 11 successful years at Chelsea, winning a total of 9 major trophies, including one Champions League title, two Premier League titles, the Europa League, three FA Cups, one League Cup and the FA Community Shield.
