
What impressed you the most as English Premier League returned during the weekend?
There were a lot of high-scoring games as English Premier League kicked-off during the weekend.
The two Manchester clubs were prolific in front of the goal-post, while also remaining solid at the back. Manchester City humbled West Ham 0-5, while Manchester United thrashed London outfit Chelsea 4-0.

There were also some thrashing by Liverpool, Tottenham, Brighton and Burnley, while Arsenal secured a narrow win over Newcastle United. Three fixtures also ended in a draw; Bournemouth vs Sheffield United, Crystal Palace vs Everton and Leicester City vs Wolves.

On individual bases Raheem Sterling was the star of the weekend after his hat-trick against West Ham. Sterling Teammate Riyad Mahrez, Burnley Erik Pieters and Manchester United Paul Pogba also put in good shifts with their two assists, while Harry Kane, Ashley Barnes and Marcus Rashford braces were also remarkable. Mohamed Salah,Virgil Van Dijk, and Aubameyang also had a good opening weekend.
A total of 27 goals were scored,with Grant Hanley and Abdoulaye Doucoure scoring at the wrong end. There were 29 yellow cards issued, while Morgan Schneiderlin was the only player to be shown a red card during the weekend.
